Since 15 March, 8.5 million people have been entitled to the Canada Emergency Benefit (CEP). This programme ended on 27 September. To support Canadians who still need help, on September 28, 2020, the Canadian government introduced Bill C-4, An Act respecting certain measures in response to COVID-19, which creates three new benefits in response to COVID-19: the Canadian Economic Recovery Benefit (CERB), the Canadian Economic Recovery Sickness Benefit (CERSB) and the Canadian Economic Recovery Caregiver Benefit (CERC). This bulletin presents the proposed terms and conditions for each of these programs. Please note, however, that they will not come into force until the legislation has received Royal Assent. It is currently at the beginning of the process, at first reading in the House of Commons;
