Miscellaneous news concerning aid measures linked to COVID-19

The government made a number of announcements last week concerning the aid programmes linked to COVID-19:

• The Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CESS) will be extended and the rate will be fixed until
  19 December

• The Canada Emergency Commercial Rental Assistance (CECRA) will be replaced by the Canada Emergency Rental Subsidy (CERS)

• The Canadian Business Emergency Account (CBEU) is extended and enhanced

• For individuals, certain clarifications have been made with regard to the Canadian Economic Recovery Benefit (CERB) and changes have been made to employment insurance
