Extension of the deadline for applying for the Canadian Business Emergency Account (CBEU) and the Canada Emergency Benefit (CEP)

The federal government announced on 31 August 2020 that the deadline for applying for the CUEC has been extended to 31 October 2020.
It also announced on 20 August 2020 that the ECP had been extended by 4 weeks, until
26 September 2020 for employees on the scheme since 15 March 2020.
In addition, in order to align the SSUC and the PCU, the calculation of the wage subsidy available for employees on leave with pay will remain the same for period 7, despite what was previously announced.
