Fernand Berthelot

With over 30 years’ experience, Fernand Berthelot is a partner in the Assurance department and serves on Mallette’s provincial risk management committee.

Mr. Berthelot has been an auditor for companies in various sectors of the economy. He was a chief quality officer for over ten years and performs reviews in this capacity. He also manages auditing work for a very wide range of public and private companies, including service companies, manufacturing companies, high tech companies, financial institutions, pension plans, co-operatives, etc.

Mr. Berthelot also regularly does special work including giving accounting opinions on complex problems.

Mr. Berthelot holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is a member of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec. His outstanding performance at the uniform evaluation of this professional association in 1983 earned him a 7th-place ranking in the province. He has also taken a securities course, for which he was recognized by the Canadian Securities Institute with an award of excellence. He has served as visiting professor at the University of Quebec at Rimouski, Lévis Campus, for over ten years, mostly teaching auditing but also accounting and personal tax.
